Black Type - FOR THE BOLD

I am thrilled to announce that I have now joined the exciting team at Black Type in Hong Kong. 

As Head of Strategy - Sales I will be working to build upon the significant impact they have made delivering top quality Australian wines and beers in Hong Kong. 

Black Type has a reputation for delivering exceptional results for its clients, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success. 

HONG KONG - Over the years!

Earlier this year I completed a successful 10 year run with Northeast Wines & Spirits as the General Manager.  During my Tenure, we placed a strong emphasis on portfolio optimisation, which led to the development of a Premium Spirits division.

In 2021, I spearheaded a successful merger with High Spirits, which resulted in a rebranding of Northeast and significant business restructuring, including the transition to third-party logistics and relocation to new offices.

Prior to this I worked for RockBare wines developing their business across Asia

One of my favourite challenges was when I joined Global Wine Cellar and undertook the task of rebranding the company from Saveurs International. This was, in part, to prepare it for the next stage of its development in mainland China. During this period, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of fine wines and sake, which helped me to broaden my knowledge in the field. 

The Early Years

I began my professional journey as a  versatile television commercial producer, copywriter, and on-air presenter.

Alongside this, I also worked part-time as a bartender, which turned out to be an advantageous skillset when I travelled in Europe and was entrusted with managing bars and restaurants in Greece, Oxford, and London at the young age of 24.

After some time, I returned to Australia to join my family business, Aslin Hi-Fi,  as a Director and manage the sales team. This was an exciting period to be in the electronics industry, as Home Theatre and multi-room installations were a rapidly developing industry. 

Consequently, in 2003, I developed a keen interest in this field and honed my skills, leading to the establishment of my own company, Lifestyle by Aslins, that specialised in designing and installing custom electronic solutions for both residential and commercial projects.
